STRONGEST RZR HITCH

Thunderhawk's patent-pending formed double-shear mounting plate design is the key to building the strongest RZR XP rear receiver hitch. This is the only hitch available that does NOT apply additional strain to the four radius rod bolts, and also strengthens the radius rods & rear frame at all times. This hitch replaces the original four-bolt radius rod plate and features additional frame mounting points (at both the top and bottom) to securely mount the hitch directly to the frame without relying only on the four radius rod bolts for mounting. By mounting the hitch to the frame in this fashion, towing loads are transferred directly to the frame to provide superior strength and eliminate damage to the radius rod bolts.

DOUBLE-SHEAR DESIGN STRENGTHENS FRAME & SUSPENSION

Thunderhawk's double-shear mounting plate upgrades the stock RZR's suspension from a single-shear radius rod mount to a much stronger double-shear design. This creates a second frame mount for the radius rods that is securely attached directly to the frame to support the rear of the radius rods. With the radius rods now supported on both the front (through the stock frame) and the rear (through the Thunderhawk double- shear plate), we have doubled the strength of the radius rod mounts, eliminating frame flex and stopping the problem of deforming, cracking & egging-out the radius rod mounting holes in the RZR frame. Thunderhawk's double-shear design provides a major benefit by increasing frame and suspension strength, even when you unhook the trailer and hit the trails.

FORMED FOR LONG-TERM RELIABILITY

Thunderhawk hitch plates are formed to match the radius rod mounting offset of the RZR frame. On the RZR XP Turbo-S, Thunderhawk has designed the only hitch plate with the proper compound bends required to match these multifaceted radius rod mounts. Thunderhawk formed plates eliminate bolt-face angularity issues that occur with cheap, improperly designed flat-plate hitches. In simple terms, bolt-face angularity happens when the bolt head (and nut face) is angled with the plate prior to tightening, which causes the bolt to deform when tightened, severely weakening the bolt and leading to failure. Thunderhawk Performance designs every hitch plate to match the original dimensions for a perfect fit and to ensure strength & reliability.

BUILT FOR EASY SERVICE & DURABILITY

A large access hole allows quick & easy service of transmission/diff fluid without removing the hitch. An automotive-grade, reinforced 2" receiver tube is used for superior strength, durability and proper fitment with standard 2" towing accessories. Double gussets eliminate deflection of the receiver tube when towing, and twin tow hook points provide easy attachment of tow hooks when necessary. The factory tow point is still accessible too.
