STRONGEST, MOST RELIABLE MULE HITCH
Thunderhawk's patent-pending Mule hitch uses a one-piece, reinforced receiver tube that is located several inches closer to the Mule's axle centerline, directly below the upper frame mounts. This receiver tube is welded into the center of our heavy-duty, mounting plate, stiffening the assembly, to produce the strongest hitch available. This Thunderhawk design produces maximum strength & resistance to bending.
MAXIMUM GROUND CLEARANCE & DURABILITY
Thunderhawk's exclusive design positions the receiver tube so that ground clearance and vehicle departure angle are optimized. This reduces the chance of having the receiver hitch drag the ground through ditches and in steep terrain. Durable black powdercoat finish resists rust and stands up to rough use. The tongue weight rating for this hitch is 125 lbs. Made in USA.

Receiver Hitch; Rear, 2" - KM2227
I own a 2025 Kawasaki Mule SX (2WD). I looked at the factory hitch that sells for $179.95 and all of the offerings from a dozen sellers, even Amazon and Ebay but none of them seemed quite right in their design. Then I found the KM2227 receiver hitch for the Mule SX. The design made sense, looked stout and the price was about half of the factory hitch (which isn't even a receiver). The other designs seemed to have an issue with bending due to their design. I installed the Thunderhawk hitch today in about an hour and love it. The fitment is perfect, excellent construction and now I can utilize the diverse functions of a receiver. I'd call the install an intermediate level job but any novice with patience and the right tools can get it done. I only wish Thunderhawk made one for the front. Very pleased with this purchase and fulfillment was quick. This is a well designed accessory, glad I bought it.

Superb Quality
You know that saying "a grinder and paint make me the welder I ain't"? Yeah, well these guys haven't. Beautiful welds, great finish. I almost don't want to install it.

Shipped quick, package had everything in it and the quality is top notch. I would have appreciated some torque specifications for the u bolts and muffler bracket bolts.

Receiver Hitch for 2021 Mule xc

Solid Hitch
Fit and finish is great. Glad I researched and found ThunderHawk instead of other cheap models or the flat, minimal factory version. Fitment is super tight on my 2023 Mule SX FI, but perfect. Those front bolts from underneath are very tedious and I almost gave up; and I don't have big hands either. Then it hit me, two extensions with 1/4" socket and universal joint adapter and tightened each side in a snap while reaching from opposite end for each side. Should be added to the directions so folks know how easy it can be with the right tools! Thanks for a solid product, good and quick shipping, and going to put it to work asap for so many things on the farm.
