Thunderhawk's patent-pending Mule rear hitch design has been tested and proven on thousands and thousands of Mules for over a decade! This rear 2" receiver hitch for the Mule 600, 610, 610 XC and all Mule SX models is designed to offer superior strength to resist the bending that commonly occurs with other brands of hitches. This Thunderhawk rear receiver hitch also improves the vehicle departure angle by more than 10 degrees when compared to many other hitches, so that we reduce the chances of having the receiver hitch drag the ground through ditches and over mild inclines that would cause you to get stuck with another hitch. Thunderhawk Performance uses an automotive-grade, reinforced receiver tube for un-matched strength & durability and for proper fitment with your receiver components.

All other hitches sold for the Mule have copied the same flawed designs. They use a long, un-supported mounting plate to hang the receiver section many inches behind the chassis mounting points and they are welded from multiple pieces of thin steel without proper reinforcement to handle the hitch loads. These flawed designs bend easily, and the fabricated receiver sections are thin & weak allowing them to deform in use. We've literally sold hitches to hundreds of people who had to replace another hitch after it was bent or broken, and this is now more common than ever with the flood of cheap Chinese hitches.

Thunderhawk Performance manufactures this rear 2" receiver hitch in the USA using a CNC cut and formed mounting plate that is welded to the receiver tube to produce the strongest hitch available. The Thunderhawk Performance patent-pending design positions the receiver tube several inches closer to the axle centerline, directly below the chassis mounts, for significantly improved strength and resistance to bending, without sacrificing ground clearance. Durable black powdercoat finish resists rust and stands up to rough use. Due to the design of the Mule frame and swing-arm, we do not recommend using any ground-engagement implements on the Mule 610 or Mule SX.  This hitch is capable of exceeding Kawasaki's rated towing capacity for the Mule, the tongue weight rating for this hitch is 125 lbs.

The Thunderhawk rear 2" receiver hitch is a bolt-on part that requires no drilling or cutting to install. This is a complete kit, including all necessary bolts and illustrated instructions. Installation is easy using common hand tools and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Made in USA.

This Thunderhawk Performance receiver hitch accepts standard 2" automotive receiver hitch components. 2" receiver hitches are commonly used on most pick-up trucks. Many people already own these hitch bars and components, but these parts are also readily available at any large discount store or auto parts chain.
