Whether you're building your own custom roll cage, or having a local chassis-shop do it for you, you will need a set of roll cage bungs to mount the cage to the RZR's frame. Custom cages for the RZR are very popular for many reasons, including: improved safety, lowered roof height (to fit into toy haulers & trailers), customized appearance and to meet UTV racing safety regulations.
Thunderhawk Performance now offers roll cage bung kits for the do-it-yourselfer which feature strong machined steel construction (not weak cast iron) and are chamfered for superior weld adhesion and lower weld-bead profiles. Designed to fit tubing with 1.75" OD x 0.095" wall thickness, so you can build a safe roll cage for recreational use or to meet UTV racing requirements without adding unnecessary weight.
We've all seen RZR's with electrical wiring tie-wrapped to the roll bar to reach the roof. Although this works, it's ugly and it leaves these wires exposed to damage. Wiring electrical accessories and lights on the roof is common as people add light bars, stereos, interior lighting, overhead mounted accessories and the S&B Particle Separator. Many RZR cage bung kits do not include cage bungs drilled for routing electrical wires through roll cage tubes for hidden (and protected) wiring. To solve this problem and make life easier for current and future electrical add-ons, Thunderhawk Performance offers this Roll Cage Bung Kit with two cage bungs drilled for hidden wiring.
