STRONG DOUBLE-SHEAR DESIGN
Thunderhawk's patent-pending double-shear radius rod design upgrades the stock RZR from a weak single-shear radius rod mount to a much stronger double-shear design. This Thunderhawk double-shear radius rod mount replaces the original 4-hole stiffener plate and features additional frame mounting points (at both the top and bottom) to securely mount the Thunderhawk double-shear plate directly to the frame. Thunderhawk's double-shear plate creates a second frame mount for the radius rods which is securely attached directly to the frame to support the rear of the radius rods. With the radius rods now supported on both the front (through the stock frame) and the rear (through the Thunderhawk double-shear plate), we have doubled the shear strength of the radius rod bolts and eliminated shear load deflection (flex) of the radius rod bolts. This eliminates the problem of deforming, elongating (egging-out) & cracking around the radius rod mounting holes in the RZR frame.
BUILT FOR EASY SERVICE, DURABILITY & PERFECT FIT
Thunderhawk Performance manufactures the only Double-Shear Plate for the RZR XP Turbo-S designed and manufactured with the proper compound angles to match the factory XP Turbo-S frame & radius rods. Others sell flat or 2D-formed plates that create joint face angularity issues (the radius rod bolts heads are stressed and fail), while the design of Thunderhawk's Double-Shear Plate matches all factory angles so that you do not have these problems.
The Thunderhawk double-shear plate features a large fluid service access hole to easily check, fill or top-off diff/transmission fluid. The factory tow point is readily accessible, and a durable black powdercoat finish stands up to rough, off-road use.

SPECIAL FITMENT NOTES
- Fits with stock, and most aftermarket radius rods -
- Because the Thunderhawk Double-Shear Hitches feature direct frame
mounting, fitment of these hitches are affected by the width of the
radius rods (where the bolt passes through at the frame end).
Thunderhawk Performance builds this double-shear plate to fit this
stock-width radius rods. If you have stock radius rods, we know what you
need and this double-shear plate will fit perfectly. There are dozens of
aftermarket radius rods which may or may not be built to the stock width.
To assure that you do not have any fitment issues with aftermarket radius
rods, we ask that you verifies that the width of your particular rods
match the stock dimensions before ordering.
- Does NOT fit with aftermarket bumpers using four-bolt radius rod
plate for lower mounting (see photos above) -
- If you have one of the light-duty brush-guard bumpers that have a
lower mount that uses a four-bolt plate to replace the factory radius rod
plate, then you can't fit any hitch (you probably also want to get rid of
that bumper before you hit something and damage your rear suspension).
